Biography
Dale Griffiths Stamos is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter whose work has been produced and published in the United States and abroad. Her full-length play productions include: One White Crow at Edgemar Center for the Arts, and Arena Repertory Players, and Dialectics of the Heart at Edgemar Center for the Arts. Her play Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night received a workshop production at Pacific Resident Theatre, and a Zoom reading through the UC Santa Barbara Launch Pad series. Two evenings of her one acts have been produced: Love Struck at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and Thicker Than Water at the Promenade Playhouse.. Her 10-minute play, The Unintended Video, for which she won the Heideman Award, was produced originally at Actors Theatre of Louisville, and then worldwide at countless venues since. Many of her other short plays have been produced throughout the country.

Dale is a two-time top 10 Winner in the Writer's Digest Stage Play Competition for her full-length plays, One White Crow and Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night; and she won the Jewel Box Theatre's Original Playwrighting Competition for her full-length play Dialectics of the Heart.

As a screenwriter, Dale has written six short films—three of which she directed—which have been official selections at over 70 film festivals, including Palms Springs Shortfest, LA Shorts International, Dances with Films, and The Newport Beach Film Festival. They have garnered two audience and eight jury awards. She has penned three feature-length screenplays which have been named finalists or semi-finalists in various screenplay competitions including Shore Scripts, Creative World Awards, Story Pros, and the New York City International Screenplay Awards. She is in the process of producing one of the scripts, IMBALANCE, as a feature film. https://www.imbalancethefilm.com/. Additionally, early in Dale's career, she was Emmy-nominated for her shared story credit on the CBS special Words Up!

Dale is on the faculty of the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and has led workshops at the San Miguel Writers Conference. She has also taught writing classes at Santa Barbara City College, adult ed., and is a private manuscript consultant.
