Kathleen Kelleher
*Awarded the "Colorado Council on the Arts CoVsions Award in Literature for Playwriting"... awarded for "Outstanding Literary Merit" for her body of playwriting (5 plays at the time)
*Her full-length play -- "Voodoo Bloodlines" -- was selected as new play of the year at the "7th Annual Rocky Mountain Playwriting Festival"
*Her full-length play -- "Tell Them Valentino Died" -- was reviewed and commented upon by 2-time Obie-award winner Ron Tavel who stated: "Extremely exciting work. The characters really stand out. Many others have attempted to answer the question 'What happened to the 60s?' But she has succeeded. Fabulous."
*Another of her plays -- "Playgirl of the Western World: An Intimate and Shocking Expose" -- was performed at several different venues in Colorado, including the Old Main Theater at the University of Colorado, the Dairy Arts Center, and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
*Her play --"The Rest Cure (It's Not the Best Cure)" -- was performed for International Women's Week at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and directed by Marie Cartier
*Kathleen is one of "the founding mothers" and a long-time performer in the lesbian performance troupe "Vox Feminista" which has performed on the Colorado Front Range--Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs--for over 20 years
*Kathleen is the recipient of the "2002 Colorado Council on the Arts 'Arts in Education Project,' and the "2001 American Academy of Poetry's 'Online Poetry Classroom' at Columbia University. Curriculum developed: "El Alma de la Raza: An Inquiry into the Soul of Chicana Poetry"
*Kathleen has taught Multicultural Studies, Ethnic Literature, Creative Writing at the University of Colorado in Boulder, as well as to highschool students

*Kathleen works with Marilyn Megenity and promotes "The Allied Witches" annual cabaret per-her-formance at The Mercury Cafe in Denver, including the most recent show "Planet Earth ~ Power Shift" which addresses climate change/catastrophe from the perspective of both Third World women characters and animal characters (mercurycafe.com)
