Biography
Aphra Behn is the artistic director of the New York City based Guerrilla Girls On Tour, an internationally acclaimed anonymous theatre collective fighting discrimination in the arts and proving feminists are funny since 1997. In order to put the focus of their work on the issues they address, each member of Guerrilla Girls On Tour works under the name of a dead woman artist and performs wearing a gorilla mask. Her memoir, "UN/MASKED, Memoirs of a Guerrilla Girl On Tour" was published by Skyhorse in November of 2016. Her new ebook, "PUSH/PUSHBACK/9 Steps to Make a Difference with Activism and Art (because the world's gone bananas)" is available at https://guerrillagirlsontour.com/push-pushback-guerrilla-girls
