Biography
I am a writer, filmmaker, and performer originally fromIndia, now based in New Mexico. I received a Fiction Fellowship from the New YorkFoundation for the Arts, a Fulbright grant to Mongolia and CEC Arts Link Awardto conduct creativity workshops in Ramallah with Ashtar Theatre. My stories/poems and films havebeen published in US and international journals and broadcast outlets likwe BBC,Discovery and PBS. My plays have been produced/read in New York, NewMexico venues such as The Players Club, Santa Fe Playhouse, Teatro Paraguas,National Hispanic Cultural Center. I toured The Good Manners of ColonizedSubjects, a solo play of dance and poetry at the Pan Asian Repertory Theater'sNuworks 2019 festival, The Arts at Mark's Garage (Honolulu), Maple Street DanceSpace (Albuquerque), and American Samoa Community College.
