Biography
JAMIE PACHINO is an award winning playwright and screenwriter with national and international credits. Her plays have been produced around the world, commissioned, published and honored. She has been named the winner of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays production grant, the Laurie Foundation’s Visionary Award, the Francesca Primus Prize, and Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson (“Jeff”) Award for Best New Work. Her plays have been developed and produced by such companies as Steppenwolf, ACT, Hartford Stage, Long Wharf, Geva, Northlight, San Jose Rep, the York, Pasadena Playhouse, and the Women Playwrights Festival in Athens, Greece, among others. Jamie is currently an Executive Producer on ABC's upcoming Dr. Odyssey for Ryan Murphy and Jon Robin Baitz, with other work on So Help Me Todd (CBS), Eleven O'Clock Number (FX), The Right Stuff (Disney+), Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win (Amazon), Sneaky Pete (Amazon), Halt and Catch Fire (AMC), Chicago PD (NBC), The Brave (NBC), as well as pilots for NBC, FX, Netflix and Bad Robot. Jamie’s film work includes features for Disney, DreamWorks, Vanguard Films and Walden Media, and teleplays for Amazon, Hallmark Hall of Fame, Lifetime Television, Hallmark Channel, and more. Her most recent screenplay, Masterpiece, has been optioned by River Run. Jamie has taught at Northwestern University (her alma mater), Columbia College, and the University of California at Irvine.
