BABUR: The First Moghul in India
by Farzana Moon
Special Advance Release, not yet available from bookstores! This promising new book is available exclusively at this location, for a limited time only!
ABOUT THE BOOK:
In today’s world, many Western readers understand relatively little about the ancient, peaceful and civilised culture of Afghanistan. This literary, engaging story recalls the history of sixteenth century Afghanistan. Babur is the king of Kabul. He is the first Moghul to conquer India. The richly detailed, historically accurate biographical account of Babur’s life in this book begins on a hill called Gulkhaneh where the biblical Cain is believed to be buried. After thirty-six years of rule when Babur dies at Agra, his empire extends eastward from Badakhshan and Kabul through Punjab to the borders of Bengal. His last injunction to his first born reveals the epitome of his compassion and tenderness: "Do naught against thy brothers though they may deserve it."
