A Celebration of Boston Area Women Playwrights

The 4th Annual Our Voices Festival will be produced by Kelly DuMar, Ann Garvin of Image Theater, and Wendy Lement, Regis College Theatre Dept. Chair, and participating playwright.  

The festival will include a free afternoon workshop for playwrights
Thanks to the generosity of Regis College for the use of the Black Box, the festival will be free & open to the public.


Overview of the Day

Workshop for Participating Playwrights:                       2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Tech Rehearsal & Pizza: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Welcome Reception in Lobby: 7:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Staged Readings of New Plays by Women: 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.

The HSP,
a short play by Phyllis Rittner, directed by Jerry Bisantz
Loss of Being,
an excerpt, by Lida McGirr, directed by Lida McGirr
All for Love,
a short play by G.L. Horton, directed by G.L. Horton Counterpoint, a short play by Hortense Gerardo, directed by Ann MacCormack Garvin
Verbatim,
a short play by Rosanna Yamagiwa Alfaro, directed by Victoria Marsh
Return to Sender,
a monologue by Karla Sorenson, directed by Karla Sorenson
Music Box,
an excerpt, by Anna Correa, directed by Lisa Hamel
Singing Over Your Bones,
a monologue by Kelly DuMar, directed by Kelly DuMar
Woman with the Red Kerchief,
an excerpt, by Wendy Lement & Firouzeh Mostashari, directed by Wendy Lement
A Good Cup of Tea,
a monologue by M. Lynda Robinson, directed by M. Lynda Robinson
Scrabble,
a short play by Leanne Calderone, directed by Lau Lapides
