A choropoem of poetry from real people enslaved in America in the 18th centurey, Harlem renaissance poets and the work of Mahasin D. Shamsid-Deen interwoven to tell the 400 year history of African peoples enslaved in the Americas. Told against the backdrop of national African American artwork, true recorded songs of ex-slaves, live drumming and song the story of humanity, capture, pain, resistance and re-emergence is told through poetry and movement.
