A new series of all Shakespeare's works is under way in Romania. I joined the team last year and my first translation - "Troilus and Cressida" was recently published in the volume V, together with "The Merchant of Venice" and "Timon of Athens", translated by my male colleagues Horia Garbea (a well-known playwright) and George Volceanov (He is also the coordinator of the entire series.).
Soon to be published volume VI, a "women only" volume, all the translators being women, with "As you like it" (translated by poet Violeta Popa), "Henry the 6th part 1" (translated by poet Ioana Diaconescu) and "Two Gentlemen of Verona" translated by me.

The Production Company in Los Angeles presents Jamie Pachino's THE RETURN TO MORALITY at the Lex Theatre in West Hollywood from July 27th-Sept 1, 2012.

The show runs Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sundays at 3pm.

The Lex Theatre is at 6760 Lexington Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Tickets can be reserved by calling 800-838-3006, or through www.brownpapertickets.com.

THE RETURN TO MORALITY is a lightning-paced political satire about the unraveling of a well-meaning liberal, caught in the maelstrom of his own good intentions. Tracing the fast rise and even faster downfall of college professor Arthur Kellogg, the play follows the publication of his first book, a scathing satire of the religious right. When the novel "accidentally" gets published as non-fiction, it spins out of his control and is embraced as a manifesto by the far right and militia groups -- turning Arthur into the poster boy for all he once sought to fight. Before Arthur has a chance to fix the book's misrepresentation, he winds up interviewed by Sixty Minutes, abandoned by his wife, and ultimately blackmailed into giving the keynote speech at the Republican National Convention, live, with unanticipated results...

"A gem, the kind of play that gets better with each viewing and one which should not be missed... Pachino's play casts a wide net, touching on issues of identity, celebrity, gender, race, politics, spin doctoring, media and language itself. Part comedy, part thriller, part political critique, Morality is intellectually engaging and riveting."
